Desired Result 1

Children are personally and socially competent

The first Desired Result (DR 1), Children are personally and socially competent, describes the typical sequence of behavior that children demonstrate as they develop a sense of self and the ability to interact with adults and other children. DR 1 includes four Indicators:

• Self-Concept (SELF)
• Social and Interpersonal Skills (SOC)
• Self-Regulation (REG)
• Language (LANG)

The four Indicators are divided into 19 Measures.
