Desired Result

A Desired Result is a condition of well-being for young children who are served in programs provided by the California Department of Education (CDE). There are four Desired Results for children:

The four Desired Results serve as outcome statements to guide quality improvement efforts for CDE programs serving young children. They also comprise the four major sections of the Desired Results Developmental Profile access (DRDP access). The four Desired Results are divided into ten Indicators which represent the specific measurable developmental dimensions of the Desired Results. Each Indicator is further divided into a number of Measures which serve as the individual assessment items (the DRDP access includes a total of 48 Measures).
