2. The Role of Family Observations in the Desired Results Assessment System
The National Early Childhood Transition Center's mission is to examine factors that promote successful transitions between infant/toddler programs, preschool programs, and public school programs for young children with disabilities and their families. Its primary objective is to investigate and validate practices and strategies that enhance the early childhood transition process and support positive school outcomes for children with disabilities.

3. New Video Provides Overview of Early Childhood Inclusion
A new 12-minute video, Foundations of Inclusion Birth to Five, has been released by the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The video is based upon the definition of early childhood inclusion in a joint position statement from the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The video provides the definition with a brief overview of the research, legal and policy foundations, and key components of early childhood inclusion.
