Professional Development Opportunities for DRDP Assessors and Trainers
It’s always a good idea to plan earlier, rather than later, for the next assessment period. There are a number of resources available for preparing new assessors to learn how to use the DRDP instruments, and for providing refreshers for more experienced staff.
1. Training for Assessors in Using the DRDP Instruments
2. Online Learning Modules on Using the DRDP Instruments
3. Build Your Training Capacity
1. Training for Assessors in Using the DRDP Instruments
Details of professional development opportunities for assessors that are offered by the Desired Results access Project can be found at http://draccess.org/prodevelopment/
2. Online Learning Modules on Using the DRDP Instruments
These online modules provide the basic information that assessors need to confidently use the DRDP instruments for preschool special education. They are designed for those who have not had the opportunity to participate in face-to-face training sessions, those who prefer to learn online, and for those who attended a training session but would like a refresher. You can complete each of these modules in about 10 minutes.
