Overview of the DRDP Data Reporting System for Preschool Children with IEPs

Beginning in 2007, data from the Preschool DRDP-R for Children with IEPs and the DRDP access will be reported to the California Department of Education/Special Education Division (SED). The table below provides a general overview of the data reporting system for the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) assessments.

SELPAs select a data system and identify personnel who will input data Each SELPA will select one of the following data reporting systems:
  • Special Education Desired Results System (SEDRS)
  • Local Management Information System (MIS)

Each SELPA will identify the personnel who will input data:

  • Primary IEP service providers, and/or
  • Data entry clerks

Data to be reported

  • Primary IEP service providers will complete the print version of the DRDP Information Page and Rating Record for all three, four, and five year old children who have IEPs.
  • Primary IEP service providers and/or data entry clerks will enter the information from these documents into the data reporting system.

Data reported through SEDRS

SEDRS is an online data reporting system specifically designed to report the DRDP data to CDE. SEDRS is accessed via secure password accounts distributed by SELPAs.

Data reported through an individual SELPA’s MIS

An individual SELPA’s MIS is set up according to instructions from SED. Extra software will be bundled with SED’s CASEMIS software (student level data system) to enable the reporting of DRDP data.

Training and technical assistance opportunities

  • Online training modules for SEDRS are available at: www.draccess.org
  • Training will occur at regularly scheduled SELPA meetings.
  • Reporting for the DRDP using MIS will be included in CDE’s CASEMIS training for SELPAs using their own MIS.
  • Phone assistance with SEDRS is available through the Desired Results access Project at (707) 477-3553.
  • Technical support is available via email at: sedrs@draccess.org
