Major Change in the Reporting of Race/Ethnicity on the DRDP Information Pages for Preschool Special Education
Policy Change announced on April 20, 2010 by the California Department of Education, Special Education Division: The Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) Information Page has been modified to collect information about a child’s ethnicity and race for preschool special education. These changes are effective during the Spring 2010 Data Reporting Period with the certification deadline of July 1, 2010.
Revision details are specified in the guidance document, Guide to SEDRS New Ethnicity-Race Fields (April 2010). Refer to SEDRS Import File Structure (Updated April 2010) for the SEDRS field specifications that will be used for data file import.
SEDRS Specifications
This section is intended for personnel who are using the Data File Upload feature in SEDRS, or who are downloading assessment records.
For those who are using the Data File Upload feature, it includes a SEDRS File Upload Specification file and the List of Errors and Warnings.
For those who are downloading assessment records, it includes two Column Definitions files to help you read your downloaded assessment records. (Not yet available.)

SEDRS Import File Structure (April 2010)
This document lists the field specifications for files that will be uploaded into SEDRS. The document includes the Field Number, Field Name, Type of Data, Length and Valid Codes for each field.

DRDP/SEDRS List of Errors and Warnings (April 2010)
This document includes the error code number and description for most of the errors listed in SEDRS. Additional errors will be described in the text of the error screen in SEDRS.
