Training and Technical Assistance Resources
Train-the-Trainer Institutes for SELPA Training Teams Offered in Early 2008!
A number of Train-the-Trainer (TTT) Institutes will be offered across California between February and April to help build SELPA’s capacity to train preschool special education assessors on the DRDP Assessment System. Each SELPA will be able to send one to three two-person teams to attend one of the Institutes to learn how to deliver training on the DRDP instruments. SELPA Directors have been asked to identify the members of the training teams. Following the TTT Institutes, the SELPA training teams will be able to conduct local training in their regions, before the spring DRDP data collection period.
SELPA Training Teams will receive:
- Updated information on the DRDP Assessment System
- A two-day training session preparing teams to deliver high-quality, engaging training
- A comprehensive set of training materials including:
- Trainer’s Guide
- PowerPoint slides
- Video clips
- Handouts
- Ongoing updates from the Desired Results access Project regarding new materials, guidance documents, and training activities.
Contact your SELPA director if you are interested in becoming a DRDP trainer for preschool special education.
