Assessment Checklist for Using the DRDP (2015) with Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

This checklist will help teachers who are assessing children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing provide an optimal environment for observation for the DRDP (2015). Use of the checklist can help assessors plan more informed and meaningful observations and reflect on the accuracy of their observations. The items on the checklist correspond with more detailed information in the Guidance for Assessing Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

DRDP (2015) Updates for Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education

The California Department of Education has released a compact preschool view of the DRDP (2015), the DRDP (2015) Preschool Fundamental View, for general education and special education. Beginning fall 2016, the DRDP (2015) Preschool Fundamental View must be used with preschoolers with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

The DRDP (2015) Infant/Toddler View Assessment Manual has a revised Introduction and Appendices, but no change to the measures.

Please download the new DRDP (2015) Preschool Fundamental View Rating Record for use with preschool-age children with IEPs and the DRDP (2015) Special Education Information Page and discard the previous versions.
